La nostra storia


The journey Rio-Rome got very closer 21 years ago, when the entrepreneur Marcelo Torres from Rio opened Giuseppe, his first venture in the restaurant industry. The history of the place starts when the entrepreneur Marcelo Torres, who used to miss a restaurant that matches perfectly atmosphere, gastronomy and service, idealized the Giuseppe.

In love for the cuccina della nona, in Dezember of 1993, he stuck the Italian flag on the Sete de Setembro Street. Since then, the charming restaurant has queues at its door from Monday to Friday. It’s a rare example of unshakeable success in the city. The clients are loyal and visits the place looking for delicious dishes made out of fresh products.

Our Atmosphere

On its unique atmosphere, the background music rules together with the sound of the Bacco’s Fountain brought from Italy and the Florentine original engravings form 1792. The beautiful winter garden has a little waterfall. Plants, topiaries, Roman style stone floor and tabletops made of the beautiful Italian marble Rosso Verona, compose this cozy place with a sophisticated lunch in Downtown Rio. 

Today, the Giuseppe restaurant offers lunch and makes its space available for social and corporate events. Besides that, we hold Happy Hours every day and offer.
